This policy is designed to help PCV drivers understand the importance of safety and security for passengers on a bus, minibus or coach. It provides tips on how to manage a situation before it happens and includes an introduction, the reason why a policy's needed, the risks involved, how to mitigate the risks and a policy that commits the company to provide assistance and guidance and the driver to observe good driving practice at all times. 
 
As well as helping to maintain your duty of care and providing essential support, the policy may help to demonstrate compliance with industry schemes. However, please note that a process must be active and effective to demonstrate high standards.
