Policy & procedure - Driver eyesight checks

This policy and procedure is designed to ensure that you undertake regular driver eyesight checks in a consistent way, to prevent unnecessary risk and reinforce the safety of all road users.
 
It makes clear the need to manage risk and includes an introduction, the reason why the policy is needed, the risks involved, the procedure to follow  and a policy that commits the company to provide support where possible. 
 
As well as helping to maintain your duty of care and providing essential support, the policy and procedure may help to demonstrate compliance with industry schemes. However, please note that it must be proactively used and be effective in order to demonstrate high standards.
