This policy is designed to highlight the risks of working alone, with the aim of managing those risks to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your drivers. 
 
It explains the issue and includes some top tips for drivers, a couple of stats and a straightforward policy that commits the business and the driver to work in a certain way to maximise safety and security.  
 
Two pages of the document are shown for illustration purposes. 
 
As well as helping to maintain your duty of care and providing essential support, the policy may help to demonstrate compliance with industry schemes. However, it must be proactively used and be effective in order to demonstrate high standards.
