This policy and supporting procedure is designed to help drivers identify risks during the loading, transporting and unloading of goods. It includes a summary of the potential outcomes for unsecured loads, a policy detailing what the company will do to improve safety and a safe loading process to follow for drivers and loading operatives. 
 
This policy can be used in conjunction with the safe loading and restraints risk assessment, available in the store. 
 
As well as improving your safety standards for loading, transporting and unloading goods, the policy may help to demonstrate compliance with industry schemes. However, please note that a process must be in place to demonstrate high standards.
